This was probably one of the lowest crowd events in terms of entertainment, but that could also be because nights were really cold and most people had retired to their rooms at that point. There are always extras available to add a bit of festivity to your stateroom! I surprised my daughter with an onboard gift specific to the season, which costs extra and comes fully assembled in your room upon arrival. Ours included a fleece blanket, pillow, trick or treat bag, and glow-in-the-dark ghosts hanging from our ceiling. During our sailing, the cost of this onboard gift was $75, but the prices do vary from year to year. That is a little bit high, but since we don’t tend to go crazy with souvenir spending, I just factored into the cost of goodies we may have wanted to splurge onboard.

For example, sailings during the first two weeks of December include all the Christmas decor, music, food, and more, but the prices are very reasonable. When you step onto the ship, you’ll find Halloween decorations in a variety of spots, like jack-o-lantern stickers on portholes and pumpkin garlands around the atrium. If you are on a Halloween cruise but not sailing on 10/31, your cruise will have a certain day when these activities take place. There were two different parties and trick or treat times to choose from. We attended one and felt like we saw the show, got the candy, we were good.
There were similar activities in areas for kids, and Halloween movies were shown at the theaters. Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party is a costume party with trick-or-treat trails, including candy and long lines. Close your eyes and imagine sailing on a Disney Cruise Line ship. Without a doubt, the pantomimed conversations we had over our shared costumes were some of the most magical moments of our cruise. Then, it’s time to light the tree’s jack-o-lanterns, which continue to glow for the rest of the trip, making for a can’t-miss photo backdrop.
